Pemanfaatan Potensi Tanaman Lengkuas sebagai Bahan Campuran Kopi dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Ekonomi Masyarakat Desa Pagerjo Kecamatan Gedeg Kabupaten Mojokerto

Abstrak

KKN activities require students to serve and share the knowledge they have gained while studying with the community, students are given the opportunity to directly come into contact with the community to identify and deal with problems that exist in that place, apply all forms of knowledge that have been obtained in tertiary institutions, as well as student work college is a new learning space for students to develop themselves. In this KKN activity, the authors took the theme "Utilization of the Potential of Galangal Plants as a Coffee Mixing Material in an Effort to Improve the Economy of the People of Pagerjo Village, Gedeg District, Mojokerto Regency". The reason why the author wants to raise this theme is because the galangal produced in Pagerjo Village is very abundant, but unfortunately there is a problem, namely the buying and selling price of galangal which is cheap and sometimes even difficult to market. This is because galangal is not often used for spices in large quantities. So people rarely buy galangal. Then for the Assistance method used using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which prioritizes the utilization of assets and potential that exists around Pagerjo Village. The steps of the activities carried out were surveying the locations of post-harvest galangal cultivation in the village, conducting interviews with land managers who would use the KKN program, conducting counseling and discussions about galangal coffee, and conducting training with several residents of Pagerjo village. From this KKN activity it is hoped that it can increase the knowledge and skills of the Pagerjo village community in processing galangal plants and provide economic business opportunities in utilizing the potential of galangal plants as an ingredient in coffee mixes.
