Peran Orangtua dalam Menanamkan Literasi Lingkungan Anak Usia Dini
Abstrak
Perilaku ketidakpedulian lingkungan di Indonesia diukur menggunakan indeks yang mengukur tingkat ketidakpedulian suatu wilayah terhadap lingkungan hidup.. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk menyelamatkan lingkungan dari kerusakan melalui penanaman literasi lingkungan sejak usia dini. Peran orangtua di masa usia dini sangat besar karena orangtua menjadi model bagi anak dalam berperilaku dan menyelesaikan masalah lingkungan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur bagaimana orang tua terlibat dalam menanamkan literasi lingkungan pada anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan modifikasi instrumen Janina Iwaniec yang berisi indikator pengetahuan, sikap, perilaku orangtua yang melibatkan anak dalam literasi lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan orang tua belum terlibat secara optimal dalam perannya sebagai agen literasi lingkungan bagi anak karena masih berada dalam kriteria jarang. Penelitian dapat ditindaklanjuti dengan pengembangan model pengasuhan yang bisa mendorong orangtua supaya lebih terlibat dalam pendidikan literasi lingkungan.
