Pemanfaatan Platform Komunikasi Digital dalam Menguatkan Literasi Media di Masyarakat

Perkembangan era digital telah mengubah pola komunikasi dan cara individu memperoleh informasi. Komunikasi berbasis digital kini menjadi medium dominan dalam distribusi informasi yang berlangsung secara cepat dan luas. Meski demikian, derasnya arus informasi tersebut menimbulkan persoalan baru terkait kemampuan masyarakat dalam memahami pesan media secara kritis. Tulisan ini bertujuan mengkaji kontribusi komunikasi digital dalam memperkuat literasi media masyarakat. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui penelaahan literatur yang relevan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi digital dapat mendorong peningkatan literasi media melalui tiga strategi utama, yakni edukasi literasi digital, kampanye peningkatan kesadaran media, serta keterlibatan aktif masyarakat di ruang publik digital. Dengan demikian, upaya penguatan literasi media hendaknya menjadi komitmen kolektif antara pemerintah, institusi pendidikan, organisasi media, dan komunitas masyarakat.
