THE USE OF FLASH CARD NUMBER MEDIA IN IMPROVING THE ABILITY OF THE CONCEPT OF NUMBERS AGED 4-5 YEARS IN RA DARUNNIYAH SIDOREJO JETIS MOJOKERTO SCHOOL YEAR 2021/2022
Abstrak
The use of number card media is expected to improve the ability to know the concept of number of children in the teaching and learning process so that in the teaching and learning process, teaching and learning activities do not occur saturation, thus the child will be involved physically, emotionally and intellectually which in turn is expected the concept taught by the teacher can be understood by the child.
The problems that want to be studied in this study are: (1) How is the teacher's activity in the use of number cards in the introduction of the concept of numbers in children 4-5 years old RA Darunniyah Mojokerto? (2) How is the cognitive ability to know the concept of numbers in children 4-5 years old RA Darunniyah Mojokerto?
(3) Can the use of number cards improve cognitive ability to recognize the concept of numbers in children 4-5 years old RA Darunniyah Mojokerto? While the purpose of this study is: (1) To describe the activities of teachers in the use of card media on the introduction of the concept of numbers in children aged 4-5 years RA Darunniyah Mojokerto. (2) To find out cognitive ability in knowing the concept of numbers in children 4-5 years old RA Darunniyah Mojokerto. (3) To analyze whether the use of number card media in improving cognitive ability to recognize the concept of numbers in children 4-5 years old RA Darunniyah Mojokerto.
This study used action research (action research) as much as two rounds. Each round consists of four stages: design, activity and observation, reflection, and refisi. Based on the analysis of research data and discussions, it was obtained that the application of the introduction of the concept of numbers through the medium of number cards increased the cognitive ability of children in cycle I by 63% and cycle II results achieved by 94%. The behavior shown by the child also changes after being given action. Children are more happy and enthusiastic in participating in learning activities and more active. So it can be concluded from this study is that learning with the medium of number cards can improve cognitive ability in knowing the concept of numbers in children 4-5 years old RA Darunniyah Mojokerto.
