Green Islam Education: Menanamkan Kesadaran Ekoteologis dalam Kurikulum Pendidikan Islam

Krisis ekologis global menuntut pendekatan pendidikan yang mampu membentuk kesadaran ekologis berbasis spiritualitas. Artikel ini menawarkan konsep Green Islam Education sebagai model pendidikan Islam yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai ekoteologis dalam kurikulum. Pendidikan Islam memiliki potensi besar dalam membentuk kesadaran ekologis berbasis tauhid, karena ajaran Islam sarat dengan prinsip keadilan lingkungan, keberlanjutan, dan amanah. Melalui pendekatan ini, peserta didik tidak hanya memperoleh pengetahuan ekologis, tetapi juga mengalami internalisasi nilai spiritual yang mendorong kepedulian terhadap lingkungan sebagai bagian dari ibadah. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif berbasis studi literatur dan bertujuan merumuskan strategi integratif kurikulum pendidikan Islam yang responsif terhadap isu ekologi.
Abstract
The global ecological crisis demands an educational approach capable of fostering ecological awareness grounded in spirituality. This article introduces the concept of Green Islam Education as a model of Islamic education that integrates eco-theological values into the curriculum. Islamic education holds great potential in cultivating ecological awareness based on tawhid, as Islamic teachings are rich with principles of environmental justice, sustainability, and trust (amanah). Through this approach, students not only gain ecological knowledge but also internalize spiritual values that encourage care for the environment as an act of worship. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive method based on literature review and aims to formulate integrative strategies for an Islamic education curriculum that is responsive to ecological issues.
