Abstract

This study aims to analyze Maimun Palace as a cultural heritage site and educational tourism destination in Medan City, focusing on its historical and cultural value, its role in preserving the Malay Deli cultural heritage, and its function and contribution to educational tourism. As an educational tourism site, Maimun Palace contributes to enhancing public and tourist knowledge regarding Malay Deli history and culture through visits by tourists, school groups, and cultural activities. Nevertheless, the dissemination of historical information needs to be strengthened through guided tours and interpretive media to optimize its educational function. The study recommends strengthening educational tourism, improving area management, fostering institutional collaboration, ensuring sustainable
